Cav Movers was founded in 2014 by University of Virginia students who believed Virginians deserved better: a moving company that was fast, professional, and actually affordable. What started with a single truck in Charlottesville has grown into a statewide operation with four locations serving the entire Commonwealth.
The Cav Movers Story
It started with a problem every UVA student knows: moving day. The options were overpriced, unprofessional, or both. Two roommates decided to fix that, and Cav Movers was born.
Starting out with a single truck and a relentless commitment to doing things right, we built our reputation review by review, move by move. Students told their families. Families told their friends. And word spread, first across Charlottesville, then Richmond, Northern Virginia, and Virginia Beach.
Today, we've completed over 5,000 moves, earned 400+ five-star reviews, and expanded our services to cover everything from packing and cleaning to long-distance relocations and specialty item moving.
